History

Bud Jackson's was opened in January of 2004 by Bud and Brenda Ashcraft. Bud and Brenda moved here from the Portland area to not only open a successful restaurant but to also enjoy the great scenery and outdoor activities that Eastern Oregon provides.

Since 2004 we have continued to grow into one of the most popular establishments in the area with 2008 being our best year yet. In the beginning there was no dance floor, no patio, and only one weekend bartender. Now our dance floor is packed every Friday and Saturday. We have two patios, one covered for smokers and the other great for summer cocktails. And two great bartenders on the weekends to keep up the great service.

As a part of our local community we help do fundraisers to support local groups or a person in need. Bud's organized a motorcycle poker run to help raise money for John Wayne Dipple, a young boy who had been run over by a lawnmower, he has since fully recovered. We also did a similar event for one of our own, Kirk Travis part of the Dynamic Duo DJ's, who needed an organ transplant. In 2008 Bud's auctioned off a flat screen tv with the proceeds going to the La Grande Senior Center.
